Food grinder not working

Food grinder will not turn. Have installed new grinder part however the screen continues to clog. Does the part in the pump slide forward during operation or how to the two mate. Or is the gear on the pump just broken. John

Check that the end of the volute which mates with the chopper is OK.
Check that the volute on the pump is not loose/stripped from the motor’es armature.
