HI,
am trying to get my sears kenmore 90 series, gas, model number is scraped off, to start up. Had about a foot of water the basement. Had water in the drum. Should I check the burner and make sure that section is clean. Everytime I try to start the dryer, it just goes “trump”. Drum turn bat hand, the door switch is working. Is the motor just wet? and needs to dry?
I would pull the motor out and bake in a oven at 200 degrees for a few hours, then put 115 volts to pins 4&5 and see if it now runs, but you may have ruined the motor by using the dryer.
