I need a new heater element. You say it is AP4289925. Your instructions are to open screws up front and take off the front panel. There are no screws on this unit except in the back. None of the schematics provided by Maytag show where the heater element is located. How do I find the heater?
This dryer is probably 25-30 years old and there are no on-line technical info available for such old product.
The heating element is located behind the front panel. In order to access it you have to remove the rear panel and all screws on bottom of the side panels. Then the cabinet has to be pulled straight up and removed.
