Fill level on Maytag washer

I’m replying to your answer concerning the water filling level in my washing machine. The water does stop right away when the cord is pulled and I don’t notice any leaks/obstructions in the hose. The machine is closer to 10 years old and has been used most every day. When you mention the water level switch is it part #4023948 with your price being $7.96? It is just listed as “switch”. Where on the machine is this switch located and how difficult is it to replace? thank you for your help—I appreciate it.

Here is the pressure switch listed for your machine, unfortunately it is a lot more than the $7.95 switch you found. In fact, I cannot locate the part you referenced.

To replace it, you will take the screws off the back plate on the control console. It is not a difficult job.

To avoid spending this money unnecessarily check to make sure the plastic tube on your existing switch is clear.

Good luck.
