I have looked everywhere I know to find fault code F 50 for my cabrio washer. Can someone help?
Here are your parts
Model Search
And a tech sheet and service manual

I am talking to a whirlpool representative now, she said it is an electrical error. Call Whirlpool
It is a stalled motor error.
The service manual lists it and gives a test procedure.
Bless you Denman for the service manuals. You are an angel. At least we have hope of understanding what needs to happen to fix this thing they call a washer. This is the 2nd break down in two years. The last time the part was replaced but it was not that part that needed to be replaced. It was $300 to “fix” it last time. I was and still might be ready to toss the machine to the curb.
Has any of you actually repaired a Cabrio with the F50 code? If I do the manual motor test the RPS appears to be good per the manual since the lights blink when I rotate the drum. When I try to make the spin test the F50 code comes on and nothing happens. I have checked the wiring and it all shows continuity on the P5 connector and the P10 connector. Do you know if it is supposed to read 16 Ohms on the P5 connector when it is connected to the module? I can’t figure out how to check the Ohms with it connected but if I disconnect it and check the connector I get 32 Ohms which is what the Stator is supposed to read. DOes this mean that the control unit is bad?
Please help…this thing is less than 2.5 years old and is now broken for the 3rd time.
motor rotor position sensor does not sense movement of tub and rotor. does basket spin freely by hand when machine is off? if not you need a technician
Tub turns freely by hand. I guess that I misunderstood what was being tested when you rotate it back and forth by hand in the manual test mode. Is there a way to decide if the rotation position sensor is bad? I guess that it is either it or the control module at this point. I have done all of the tests in the manual than I have.
I have repaired many of these. Any time you get a F-50 or F-51 code on one of these Whirlpool recomends you replace the control, wire harness, and RPS sensor if the tub bearing/ main shaft aren’t binding.
i need a manual, if anyone has one please Email it to me somehow, thank you.
Not sure which manual you want but here is the service manual

You have to join the site to download the manual but it is free and this is a very good site for manuals and other info for the appliance repair DIYer.
