I have a 30 " wall oven that suddenly had fault code F7 only clock works. The only touch control that works is cancel button. I tried to press the cancel button but the buzzer and f7 code return after a few seconds. I was told that touch button control is no longer available. Could it be anything else? Thank you.
I could not find any tech info on this unit, but looking at other Maytag oven/stoves F7 is for a shorted key.
This could be either the control panel (keypad) or the control board. Not that it matters as both of them are obsolete.
Have you tried disconnecting (turning the breaker off) for a couple minutes to see if it will reset the control board.
Hopefully someone else will jump in to confirm that is is a shorted key failure for sure.
