I had to pick a tag, but none are approriate. The door closes fine. The hinges are perfect. Its the fascia of the door with a problem.

The stainless steel fascia with the outer glass has come unstuck to the sticky stuff behind it. Neither the door handle parts nor side pieces hold the fascia in place. I can buy a new one for $239, but if the old one wont stick to the sticky stuff, why will a new one help? The upper left corner of the fascia sticks out about 1/2 inch. I can clamp it back to the sticky stuff and it stays about 15 minutes and pops loose again.

How do I get it to stick in the place intended. How does a new one attach that buying a new door fascia and outer glass will solve the problem?

Thanks,

Jim

Hi,

Looks like the outer glass comes with that fascia already attached….seems like that would be the best way to go:

I think you have missed the import of my question. Part number 11 is the fascia with glass, it has to attach to part number 9 (or maybe its number 4). It does so with two screws that are vertical on the bottom. Screw number 13 in the picture. The fascia attaches at the top with sticky stuff. Its the sticky stuff that does not hold anymore. This is not a glass to fascia issue, its a fascia (with glass) to the rest of the door issue.

Thanks,

Jim

The 2 screws on the bottom go into a trim (10 and 10A).

If you think you need more than just the glass with the fascia, remove the door and maybe it on a flat surface. Take some pics of what you think you need and what is or is not happening.
