fan motor

my daughter has a fridgidaire ref mod # FRT18P5AW1 freezer works but the fridge box doesn’t cool the defrost seems to heat then go off so i’m thinking the timer is working i’m wonderiong how to trouble shoot the fan motor:confused:

Hi.

If the evaporator fan is running why do you need to check it?
If it’s not running - remove the rear evaporator cover and using the multimeter check if there is 120VAC between two motor contacts. If the voltage is there - replace the fan motor.
