Just got a new Frigidaire Galaxy (GRFS2853AF) and it seems to me the fan toward the high left side of the unit is too loud. The sound comes off the left side (which faces the living room) where the ice maker would be behind it. It’s a fan for sure, when I open the door the sound stops.
Is that a known issue with this unit or do I have a bad fan. Sounds like it’s vibrating and not smooth.
While some fan noise or light vibration is normal, it shouldn’t be noticeably loud. What you’re describing typically points to either a worn or loose fan mounting grommet, or an internal issue with the fan motor itself—such as worn bearings or an unbalanced blade.
