the fabric softener wont drain from the dispenser. ive taken the tray out and cleaned it but that didnt help. i can pour water through it to force it into the cycle but im not always around to catch it. what else should i try
Since you can run water through it, this means it is not clogged. So either the timer is not activating the softener solenoid to open, or the time is defective.
Check the voltage across the solenoid terminals on the softener valve when the time is on fill for final rinse. If you have 120v then the solenoid is defective, if not the timer is the problem.
