My Maytag washer is about 18 months old. I have had absolutely no problems with it until now. The last couple of weeks I have noticed that all of the softener does not appear to be draining out. Today when I went to start a new load I noticed that softener was on the bottom with a layer of fresh water on top of it. What can I do to fix this problem?
Fabric softener is gunky, sticky mess that personally I neither use nor recommend, but if you do use it it sometimes clogs things up.
See if you can clean out the drain tubing from where you put it in. And make sure you are not using more than the recommended amount.
