Long story short, it wouldnt do the final spin, had faults for lid lock, replaced the lock, no luck, tested wiring all ok, replaced the board, now it goes through the complete wash, but i get fault F2E3, ran a self test it goes through fine, ran a couple calibration runs, goes through fine, but I still have no hot water not presoak options.
If I remember right that could be the connectors for the encoders or rotary dials. On the board you should have a connector with all red wires and another with all black wires, make sure the connectors are fully seated on the board.
If they aren’t, seat them and try again.
If they are fully seated, disconnect them and swap where they were connected to the board.
Let me know what you find there.
I tried that, I will do it again, what do you mean swap? I went by the old board and the manual, they are connected on the correct spot/same as old board, thank you will update tomorrow
Just switching where the harnesses are connected to the board, red harness connector where black was and black harness connector where red was.
You can also try the UI Test mode described in the tech sheet to see if it is reading the encoders.
Got it, thank you Rory, I will try that when I get home this afternoon, UI test doesn’t read the input from the knobs, so you are probably right and the connections switched on the updated board. When running the self test we have hot water, just not throu the input
No luck, I swapped the rotary harness from the red connector at the board to the black, performed a calibration run, ran a wash cycle, no hot water no presoak. Ran UI test mode, no input when switching modes on the temp and options knobs.
I dont have the old board after this one finally locked the lid and did a final spin (original problem)
Ok, so you’ve either got bad encoders, which would be unlikely for both of them to go out at the same time, or a bad/incorrect control board out of the box.
I really doubt it is the encoders, especially if they were working with the original board. What is the part # of the board you ordered and is there a different part # on the board you received?
Ok, so the new board # checks out as correct. At this point it sounds like a bad control board out of the box. Contact our customer service team at 1-877-477-7278 to get the exchange started if it was purchased from us, reference this forum thread when speaking with the agent.
