Brand: KitchenAid Model Number: KSGG700ESS2 Main Symptom: F2E1 Error code What happens & when: Oven will not work
Error Code (if any): F2E1
Parts or tests already tried: We have tried replacing the Control Panel Display as well as the Control Panel Circuit board (Part # W1105615). Before we replace the main circuit board (part number W1103408) I want to find out if this could even be the problem.

Yes, the main control could cause it, but I would not replace it yet.
On KitchenAid ranges, F2E1 is a stuck/shorted keypad fault. KitchenAid also notes that the problem can be in the user interface/keypad, the control, or the wiring between them. KitchenAid
Since you have already replaced the control panel/display and its circuit board, the next thing I would check is the wiring and connectors between the user interface and the main oven control. This is especially important because the fault remained after those parts were changed.
With power disconnected, unplug and reseat those connectors and look closely for bent pins, corrosion/moisture, damaged wires, or a connector that isn’t fully seated. Then restore power and see whether F2E1 returns without touching the controls.
If the wiring and connections are good and you are certain the replacement user-interface parts are correct for KSGG700ESS2, then yes—the main control becomes the next likely failure. The main control contains the circuitry that interprets the keypad/UI signals, so a failure there can falsely report F2E1 even with a good keypad.
One important detail: I would double-check the main-control part number before ordering. Parts information I’m finding for KSGG700ESS2 lists the main electronic control as W11034208, not W1103408. Sears PartsDirect
So at this point I’d go:
UI already replaced → inspect/reseat UI-to-main-control wiring → verify correct replacement UI → if F2E1 remains, replace the main control.
Based on what you’ve already replaced, I would not keep replacing control-panel parts.
