F-54 code whenever washer starts to spin faster

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio, tub seal and bearings were bad,(water on floor, loud jet noise while spinning) then it shut off with an F-1 code. Ordered and replaced tub seal, bearings and electronic control board. Tub spins freely, checked all connections, washer will perform every action until it starts to spin faster at the end of wash cycle kicks the F-54 code and shuts down everytime. Have reset and switched to rinse and spin cycle and performs like it should right up until the spin cycle speeds up as its draining. (F-54) On normal wash cycle timer shows 50 mins at start, kicks (F-54) code at 25 mins remaining, which is after it has washed and drained tub and starts to spin at higher speed.

I put old control board back in and it works the same as new board F-54 at same point. I don’t understand why it performs all functions except the higher speed spin. RPS is working or it wouldn’t let it spin at mid-range. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Update: I installed a new RPS with same result, it kicks off and displays F-54 as soon as the washer starts to spin fast enough to sling the water out of clothes. Any ideas?

Replaced Stator and problem solved. I believe when the tub seal started leaking, the water in the bearings and subsequent corrosion is what caused the bearings to fail. Water getting into stator probably caused a short throwing the original F1 code. Had I replaced the stator 1st I could’ve saved myself lots of aggravation. Hindsight is always 20/20. Thankful for Appliance Parts Pros and their 365 day return on any part. In this case at least the F-54 code for overcurrent to motor was caused by the Stator.
