one of the eye on the stove top when turned on is almost 600 degrees can you help

The most likely cause would be a bad infinite switch.

I would check the element itself just to be sure that the coil is not shoting to itself ofr if this is aa dual element to the other coil. You may be able to do this just by looking at the elemnt when it is on. If it heats upp along it’s entire length and is about the same red color then odds are it is OK.
