I have a top/bottom Kirkland Signature refrigerator (made by Whirlpool) model ST14CKXKQ04.
Last week there was a burnt electrical smell in the freezer. The freezer is still working but now the bottom is hardly keeping the fresh food cold enough. Also, I do not hear the evaporator fan running. Could the evaporator fan motor be bad or is there something else I should be looking at?

Does sound like it is a bad fan motor (Item 30 in Section 3)
The fan is required to push cold air into the fresh food section.
It will also eventually effect the freezer temperature as air is not being pulled through the evaporator coils to cool it properly.
Best way to check is remove the evaprator cover in the freezer and measure the voltage across the fan.
If you have 120 volts and the fan is not turning, it is toast.
Thanks Denman, will do!
