Estate by Whirlpool Oven issue

The oven on my Estate gas stove has had intermittent issues remaining on after the preheat cycle. It will preheat fine, but then it won’t continue to stay on and cook - it will cycle off and can’t be restarted.

Any thoughts or suggestions on what could cause this will be appreciated!

Hi.

Most likely it’s a bad control board/clock.
It’s no longer available, contact the manufacturer for the info on rebuilding the old one.
But before replacing it check the oven sensor resistance.
Should be around 1100ohm at room temperature.

The sensor AP6011627

Simon.

Thanks Simon! How would we do that - check the sensor resistance?

Hi.

Using the multimeter set to 10000 ohm touch each sensor’s wire with the probe. You will need to remove the sensor to get to the disconnect plug.
