Emerson Microwave just went dead

Our Emerson Microwave which we don’t use much at all and is not very old, it has a manufacturing date of oct 2006 but we bought it later than that, just died, no power at all. Company thinks it is a fuse, maybe. Any ideas? If a fuse where is it located on this model? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I forgot to give the full model number. It is MW8992SB-RD. It is a countertop model. I don’t have teck specs and would like to know how to get to and check the fuse. Thanks so much.

Remove the outer case and look for a fuse holder on the frame or inside the control board. Unfortunately there is no online technical information for this model.

Gene.

Sorry to be so dumb about this, but do you mean take the enire outside case off? I looked yesterday and in order to get behind the touch panel which I assume you call the control board I will have to remove the whole front casing as there aren’t separate screws to just remove the touch panel. Also on the back of the oven the model says MW8992SB SUFFIX A, which I am assuming mean aluminum color which it is. It came in aluminum or red. The owners manual says for MW8992SB and MW8992SB-RD.
Thanks so much, I will try and remove the outer casing and see what I find.
