Thanks Chris…The error code is E 15…not F 15…is there a difference?
I have replaced the Control Board #316576610 and the Relay Board
#316442115 but still have the same problem. Is there something else
I should do?
Thanks
Chris, thanks for your help. Just one more question. We replaced the
OVEN relay board and the electronic OVEN control board. Both of these
boards pertain to the OVEN, right? Our oven works fine, it’s the
cooktop that does not work. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Hi, Robert. I have the same problem. I have replaced the ESEC Relay board and ESEC 30 UIB, but it still showed E15. Can you tell me how to solve it if you have solved it. Thank you very much!

Shenww…No, we have not solved the problem. Unfortunately, we bought
the stove in Houston and had it shipped to Costa Rica. Guess what? No
service available in the country. The service people here for other brands
will not touch it.
I have been in touch with customer service at Electrolux, but they only tell
you what is put in front of them…no real service training. I can not get
passed the customer service people to talk to a engineer or quality control
person.
If you live in the States try and get to an engineer at Electrolux and post
their answer…surely we are not the only two people with this problem.
They have to have documentation on what they did to solve this problem
other than what is in the manual.
If I don’t find out something in the next two months, I am throwing this stove away and buying something local.
Please post if you find out something.
Thanks
Robert Roney
The technician has replaced the ESEC 30 UIB, ESEC Relay board, and checked harness and connections between these two boards, but it keeps showing Error 15.
I have read the service data sheet, J4 of the ESEC Relay board connects to the hot surface limiter of the cooktop, it’ Ok. And P1-P14 of the ESEC Relay board output signals to control the elements of the cooktop, I don’t think it effect the Relay board even if these are malfunctions. So the cooktop can’t make the ESEC30 UIB showing Error 15.
Now the technician said I have to replace the touch panel, and it’s approximate $930, and he can’t guarantee it will be OK. Can you tell me how to make sure the touch panel is OK before I buy a new one?

Hi, Robert. Thank you for your reply. I’m in Canada. This range is one year warranty. My range is bought by the builder of my new house at June 2010. So Electrolux doesn’t provide any repair service to me. The technician have been here three times to repair it, and I have spent proximate C$500, but the problem is still there. Now the technician said I should buy a $930 new touch panel, but he didn’t guarantee it will be OK. So I don’t want to pay more to repair it.
I have studied the service data sheet, I think there is problem in the touch panel. I guess it’s a common problem for these types of Electrolux range,
but Electrolux doesn’t want to be responsible for this after the warranty date.

Thanks Shenww…What you have gone thru tells me “they” don’t know
what’s wrong. That also tells me that I will “junk” the stove and buy local.
I’m glad you got on the forum…your info helped me make my final
decision. Good luck.
Has anyone figured this electrolux E15 error problem yet?
Mine just started beeping and showing e15 yesterday . My range is 1 1/2 years
Anyone!!!
The manufacturers’ F15 code is referring to a failed main control. Be aware before replacing that costly part that there is a resettable fuse that could have tripped. This will cause the exact same code to pop up but replacing the main control will not correct the issue if the fuse needs to be reset. It is depriving the board of one leg of 120Vac and the board “thinks” it has a problem so it will set the code.
Has anyone found a working solution for the infamous E15 error? My Electrolux induction cooktop within a slide-in range started giving this error.
Note that the error is in the induction cooktop only, not the oven unit. The oven still works just fine, even while the cooktop controls show the E15 error. It seems that most help offered in this thread has been for the E15 and/or F15 errors reported by the oven section of the control panel, which appears to be the source of most of the confusion and wasted part replacements.
Thanks,

Hello H in OH,
I was able to locate this in a service guide:
E15 Failure Mode - Internal ESEC error or Signal loss between ESEC
30 UIB and ESEC relay board.
I found no solution to the Error, my Electrolux range went into the landfill last week unfortunately.
I wrote Electrolux and told them to put an engineer on the problem for a day to save the bad press. I guess they don’t care.
ELECTROLUX SUCKS!

I found the manual as Jerry stated above shortly after my last post. The ESEC-UIB (electronic surface element control user interface board) was somehow bad. An E15 in the burner controls indicates a self test failure of the ESEC board. I replaced the ESEC-UIB board which is located just under the front control panel. Range works just fine now.
Thanks!

My range electrolux show E 15 as error. Ordered ESEC UIB from Sear website and I just replaced with the new board like 30 minutes ago. You know what… yay… E15 dissappear. It works. Took me like 25 minutes to sign up to post the answer to the world.
I am also getting the E15 code. How did you get to the part that you replaced? I just had a guy here trying to open up stove top, he took out a bunch of screws that appeared to be holding the top down, but couldn’t get the top to lift up or the front cover to come off, or anything
Hello Tlee35,
I found this information in the manual. Please let me know if it is not applicable to your unit.
The procedure for servicing the smooth glass cooktop and surface elements is similar to other Electrolux manufactured ranges. The front of the cooktop can be lifted by removing the screws that secure it to the range chassis.
Note: The exact quantity and position of the screws can vary between models.
Once these screws have been removed slide the entire cooktop assembly forward approximately three inches to disengage the hinge tabs found on each side of the cooktop from the slot in the backguard assembly.
For a 4 wire connection, make sure ground strap on terminal (neutral to frame) is removed. For about 3 years, I’ve had intermentant E 15s which became perminent. It’s been just a couple of days, but removing the ground strap seems to of correct the problem. Complex electronics doesn’t like noisy electricity.
Walters747,
I’m a total newby as far as electronics go, do you mean that I should simply remove the green wire from the chassis of the stove?
Any additional information would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Chris
