My 7 yr old front load washer has sounded like a jet engine taking off during the spin cycle. it happened gradually, so I wasn’t alarmed. Now suddenly, it is making a horrible knocking noise during the spin cycle and the drum “clunks around” as it washes. I checked around and found advice that it may be a rear bearing and may have damaged the drum. Does this sound right to you and is it reasonable to do it ourselves or should we replace the unit?
Thank you!
