Problem started recently, and only happens intermittently. All info is second hand.
Washer cycle ends, and the clothes are very wet (no spin). Without opening the door or rearranging the clothes, the machine can be switched to spin cycle and it then spins fine.
I just learned about the issue this morning. The next time it happens I’ll run the error cycles to check for codes BEFORE the spin cycle is run. I suspect a control board problem, but I’m posting here for advice to focus my troubleshooting.
I’ve posted a tech data sheet that should help you troubleshoot the washer. Based on the symptoms, it could be a bad drain pump or possibly worn tub bearings. Follow the procedures in the tech sheet and see if you can pull up any stored error codes.
You’re welcome. That is the correct part number for the control board: 137006000 (AP4358809).[134732003] According to several appliance parts suppliers, part number 137006000 cross-references to AP4358809 and is the correct OEM replacement control board for many Frigidaire-built washer models.
Before ordering, it’s still a good idea to verify the model number on the appliance to ensure compatibility. If the model matches, this should be the correct board for your machine.
Unfortunately things didn’t go as well as planned. Installation was pretty straightforward. Spent more time cleaning under and around the washer than I did replacing the board.
Sourced a used board on eBay (App Repair Pro showed out of stock). Ordered a 1347006000. They sent me a 134666400. The board I removed was, surprisingly, a 134848200.
Wash cycles do not proceed to spin. At the end of the cycle I can select a “rinse and spin” and it will spin, but normally selected full cycles don’t spin. Supplier said to send back and they will issue a refund, but now I need to source a new board.
I’m uncertain if the “no spin” condition I’m seeing is because the replacement board is also defective, OR, if it’s the wrong board. I also see lots of boards crossed referenced by eBay seller with my orig board, but I’m a bit gun shy on whether I can trust them.
Is there an “official” cross reference list that I can use to source a replacement for my recently removed, failed 134848200?
