I am having trouble with only one heating coil element on my electric range. I know the receptacle was bad, but before learning that I attempted to check the voltage to the coil with a multi meter, and in doing so must have short circuited it because i made a big spark and tripped the breaker. I was able to replace the burned out receptacle, but now I’m not getting any power to the receptacle at all. The other three heating elements work fine. I’m assuming there is a switch or fuse of some kind I damaged by the short circuit and need to replace, but since I don’t have immediate access to the unit (it’s at a rental property), I’m hoping someone here can help me identify what part I need. Thanks. Oh, it’s the large element that isn’t working.
I replaced the burner switch as you suggest, and it works perfectly now. Thanks.

Sounds like you damaged the burner switch.
Your model uses burner switch AP2024072[/quote]
That’s great, thanks for the update.
