Electric Convection Double Oven challenges

Took door off to tighten handle as it was loose. Dissembled door to gain access to handle. Tightened handle, glass shattered :frowning:

Found part is available here, now the question is- can I turn off lights in oven while waiting for part to ship / arrive? I see I can dismantle the bulb but with my luck that could bring a new “adventure”. Any ideas ?

Removing the bulb is the easiest way to shut it off.
All other options could lead to a more exciting adventure.

Either unplug the unit or shut the power off before you do this.
A hot bulb can also lead to an adventure.

Just in case you do not have it here is the operators manual.

Got it, thanks denman. I have learned that sometimes walking away and coming back to the problem brings new clarity. Bulb removed with no event.
Now to remove glass shards from sticky tape on the inside of door cover…

Before putting it back together I would check that the screw threads is the handle are OK.

A drop of loctite (threadlocker) (the blue stuff) on the screws should stop it from loosening again. If they are screwing into metal.

If screwing into plastic then a small dab of silicone sealant should do the trick.
