I have ordered the Electric control (part #AP3597555) can I do this myself? If so, can you provide instructions?
Thank you,
Mark

This should help

Just be sure to disconnect power from the unit when working on it, 240 volts is lethal.
thanks, but I am unable to connect to the website you sent. I just need to know how to install the new electric control board.
Below is the excerpt from the manual, it is not easy to explain this and the manual has pictures.
Here is the link to the manual just paste this into the address bar.
I have tried it using Internet Explorer just to be sure it works as I use Firefox.
Also give it lots of time to download, as it is 30 MB

REMOVING THE USER INTERFACE AND THE OVEN
& MICROWAVE CONTROL BOARD ASSEMBLIES
WARNING
I did everything and turned the power back on. Some of the LED came back on but it is fading in and out. None of the functions work however.
Is there some type of re-set?
Thanks,
Mark
please respond or call me at 719-488-9033 to my last post. I replaced the control board and it does light up. However, it kind of fades in and out and the functions do not work. I need to get this fixed for my tenants asap.
Thank you
Mark Thompson
I did not respond because I simply have no idea what would cause it to fade in and out.
You never said why you replaced the control board. If the symptoms were different then either you have a weird power supply problem or the board you received is defective.
Note this is just a guess.
You were unable to download the manual so troubleshooting will be nearly impossible.
Even on my system it takes several minutes to download.
I was able to find a tech sheet this morning, see below.
http://www.servicematters.com/docs/wiring/Tech%20Sheet%20-%208303852.pdf
But it does not help much, if at all for a quick fix.
Could be cavity size see the tech sheet but I doubt it.
This is a fairly complex piece of gear so unless you have a fair amount of experience with electrical/electronics you may be better off getting a pro in.
I usually do not recommend this but you are under the gun and by the sound of it do not have time to mess around with it.
Perhaps someone else will jump in who has seen this problem or has experience on this particular unit.
