Acually, 5 years old. There is power going from circuit breaker through all switches (Start/Stop, Timer, door cut-off) but the motor does not run. I want to check the thermal fuse (part AP3132867) but, according to specs, I need to remove the blower wheel (part AP2997251) gain access. How do I remove/replace the blower wheel without damaging it (or myself)?

Well, not sure what specs you are referring to, but unplug the machine, take off the back and the thermal fuse is sitting right there. One screw takes it out.
Here is what it looks like.
Go to the parts drawing section for your model by clicking on the link. Go to section 3 and find item # 7. Appears you are right, it looks like the blower wheel will have to come out to access fuse behind it. Never seen a Whirlpool dryer where that was necessary in my 26 years but looks like you have to do just that. Sorry. Craig.

Thanks for your response. The spec sheet is really misleading - it shows the thermal fuse INSIDE the bower cover but it is really on the outside, like it should be (and is). Yawn. Sorry for wasting your time. JJB
Glad you got to it and you did not waste our time.
