E2F6 maytag MVWB755DW0

Brand: maytag
Model Number: mvwb755dw0
Main Symptom: gave e2f6 code, unplugged from wall, now no display or function
What happens & when: washer chimed and gave a e2f6 code and drained its self, after a minute or 2 I unplugged the washer, waited a minute or two, plugged it back in and there is no display. Removed display board housing and tested for 120v, green light is blinking but at that harness pot has no stable voltage( .45 and then drops to zero), 3 wire harness tested for continuity and all 3 are good. Unsure if I need a control board or display board for replacement to fix. A li k to the replacement part I need to order would be greatly appreciated!

Error Code (if any):

The error code for this would be a UI error. This would indicate that the console is faulty and would need to be replaced.

Hi Ed,

No UI code came up prior to unplugging the washer. What confuses me about your diagnosis is off the control board it does not read 5v (3wire) but the green light is blinking. If its not putting out the 5 volts the display board wouldnt work. Not trying to be a pain in the butt here, but please explain how the console would be at fault if its not getting power.

If there is not 5vdc then the control board would be faulty. The reason I mentioned the error is because you said it had a F6 E2 error.

I stand corrected. I must have left the volt meter on ac when I tested the pot for 5vdc. It does infact have 5vdc going to it.

The part you linked earlier, does it have the whole display board?

Yes, that would have the display portion that is needed.

So just for clarity sake, I buy the part you linked and its plug and play. Washer should turn on and operate as new?

Yes that would be correct.
