E F1 code on my electrolux dryer runs for less then a min then throws code

Brand:electrolux
Model Number:EFMG527UIW0
Main Symptom: will run on air fluff but quits after a min on any other and throws F1 code
What happens & when: son put super wet clothes in dryer flooded it

Error Code (if any):E F1
Parts or tests already tried: main control board, inlet and outlet thermistor, thermostat, thermal fuse, cleaned lint trap and all venting
Photos / video link:

The F1 error code means there is a venting issue. Run a load with the vent off and the dryer pulled out to let it breathe. See what happens, we want to completely eliminate the vent as being an issue.

did that and it does the same thing

So we can eliminate the vent as being restricted. There is a thermistor on the back side of the blower housing that may have shorted when the super-wet clothes were put into the drum. 5304513591 Dryer Thermistor | Genuine Frigidaire OEM In Stock Ohm out the thermistor at room temperature, let me know what reading you get. It should read about 10 ohms.

did that too I have replaced the inlet and outlet thermistor, also replaced the thermal fuse on the outlet pipe and the thermostat on the burner, testes the flame sensor and ignitor and coils all are good only thing I have not replaced is the thermal limiter on the burner housing next to the thermostat, I have replaced the main control board as well, could the thermal limiter be the problem?

Are you seeing the igniter glow? The thermal limiter I believe is a continuity check, if it is closed, it is good, open, it is bad.

I tried running it so I could see if it was glowing and it will run for like 20sec hear the couple of clicks then go out and throw the E F1 alarm did not see anything glowing or even try to fire

Sorry for so many questions, there are several things that need to be eliminated, when it stops, will it start back again imidiately when you press start again?

yes and it will run normal in the air fluff mode but any other mode throws the F1

Then the issue is not the motor but something in the heat system. On the side of the heater cone is a flame sensor. When it is cold, it should be closed, (have continuity) when it gets hot it opens up, allowing the gas valve coils to be energized. Check the sensor. let me know.

tested that and its good also tested gas coils those are good and the glow ignitor tested good

only thing I have not tested yet is the thermal limiter on the burner housing next the thermostat which I will test when I get off work…..if its not that I have no clue what to do as everything has been checked or replaced lol

yeah, I’m running out of options myself.

thank you for all the info! cross your fingers for me lol

It was the thermal limiter! It is working great now!
