I have the above mentioned Duet machine and have disassembled it to find that the Spinner arm (also I’ve seen it called a spider arm) has completely oxidized and crumbled apart. Online I see they want me to order a new inner drum/spinner assembly costing near 400 dollars. Most state you have to buy both as the spinner arm is welded to the drum. I say they all are silly as I have completely removed mine with two torques screws from each arm.
All I want is a new shaft and spinner arms assembly possibly item number 461970300511. Can anyone help me locate this?
Ok further research results found the part to be called a support not a spider arm. I found a part number for a different model WFW9150WW00 to be W10202464. Which is listed as discontinued. Really! so basically I am at the mercy of Whirlpool to have to purchase a $300 part that I don’t need. The support when it was available for the previous machine was only $56. Does anyone have suggestions besides turning this duet into re-bar?
