Dryer won't turn on only hums and shuts off

Dryer stopped working and put in aThermal Fuse. Worked for awhile now it just hums when turned on and then will shut off. Also vacumned out all the lint from below. Is it worth fixing. Thanks for your help. Karen

You probably need someone to help you with this simple test. Open the door. Push and hold the door switch. Push the start button and manually turn the drum. If it would start then the motor is the culprit.

You decision to fix it or not should be based on the dryer condition.
