Maytag Dryer will not start.
I can hear the ticking/buzzing from the Cycle Knob when turned to a cycle, but will not start when pressing the Start Button.

A number of issues can prevent your dryer from starting.

  1. Check to see if you have 240v coming into the dryer from the outlet using a multimeter.
  2. Check the door switch for continuity when closed. A faulty door switch will prevent it from starting.
  3. Check thermal fuse for continuity. It to will prevent the dryer from starting.
