Everytime I use my dryer, which is only 2 months old, I have condensation in the vent pipe. I was told I need to move my dryer so the vent can be ran out the wall at the back of the house, instead of out of the roof as it is. Is this the only remedy, or is there a chance something is connected improperly?
It can be run out the roof. Does it take longer than normal to dry your clothes
Yes, it takes extremely long times.
Your problem is the house vent is clogged. When the builder runs the vent to the roof, alot of times they will put a screen at the vent on the roof to keep bird from getting in the vent, the problem is this screen gets clogged with lint, so you need to clean the screen, and get rid of it, if there is one. If there is’nt one you need to find the clog. This is also why you clothes take so long to dry, the dryer needs to move air to dry clothes, if it is blocked the moisture cannot be removed, stays in the dryer, keeps the clothes wet and accumulates condensation in the vent pipe.
