Hi,
Can you let me know if the broken trim piece shown in the picture can be replaced? The brand is actually GE. not Gibson. For some reason, the pick list for model was working for Safari browser. Thanks.

Hi.
I believe that the piece you need is the part of the Front air duct assembly WE14M92
Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for General Electric DBXR463ED1WW Electric dryer | AppliancePartsPros.com
Thank you. Post the results.

Yes, that’s the correct part. Thanks. I manage to fix it in less than 1/2hr.
Here are the general steps in case others are wondering:
- Remove the top and bottom screws (4 total) holding the dryer door
- Remove 2 screws holding the top panel of the dryer
- Once the top is moved out of the way, remove the 2 screws holding the front panel of the dryer
- Unplug a quick connect and 2 “tab” type connectors to completely remove the front panel out of the way
- Pop out the lower portion of the dryer trim piece (shown above)
- Pop the new one in and reverse the order for re-installation
Make sure before removing panels, plug the plug from the wall in the case of electrical dryer, or shut off the gas at the wall in case of gas
Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
