Main Symptom: Timer changes from original time for no apparent reason
What happens & when: Start drying on Casual which automatically sets the timer to 35 minutes but it changes at some point to 40 or more minutes.

That’s pretty normal, actually. Casual is a sensor cycle and the default time is 35 minutes, as it runs and senses the load it will adjust the time accordingly.
My wife says that another occurrence is that after the cycle it will stop and then start again until the door is opened. This has only started happening in the last 3 months versus the past 11 years.
When you select a cycle, check to see if the Wrinkle Shield option has been turned on. If it has been accidentally selected and the cycle allowed to run through, the dryer will save that setting as on until the option is turned off for that particular cycle and the cycle allowed to run all the way through again.
