Hi, I’ve sent you a tech sheet for your Frigidaire dryer model FAQE7011KW0. Follow the steps to put the dryer into diagnostic mode and check for any stored error codes.

I unplugged the dryer over night, In the morning I connected the power and after about six hours the lights stated flashing. Following flow chart it indicates that the control board needs to be replaced. I did get some error codes to display but they didn’t match any from the chart, E01 and E68.

I have a video, but I can’t upload it.

Hi, the E01 code on your Frigidaire dryer means there’s an airflow restriction, while the E68 code usually means there’s a button stuck on the control panel.

Thanks, where does the no power connected to dryer over night and then lights flashing after about 6 hours after the dryer is reconnected to power with nothing but just sitting there?

Hi, this pretty much confirms that you’re dealing with an electronic failure, most likely a shorted contact in the control panel or a failing control board.

When you leave the dryer unplugged overnight, the control board has enough time to completely power down and reset. That’s why everything seems normal again when you first plug it back in.

The important part is that after sitting powered up for about six hours, the flashing lights come right back without you doing anything. That tells us the reset isn’t actually fixing the problem—it’s just temporarily clearing it until the faulty signal shows up again.

Since you’re getting the E68 code, I would check the buttons and control panel first for a stuck or shorted key. If all the buttons and connections check out and the E68 keeps returning, then I would move on to the electronic control board.

At this point, I wouldn’t keep unplugging it to reset it. We need to find which control component is causing that bad signal and replace it.

with the E68 code, there are two electronic parts I would focus on:

The UI/control panel: This is the board directly behind the buttons. If one of the buttons is sticking internally, or there’s lint, moisture, corrosion, or a short around the contacts, the UI can continuously tell the dryer that a button is being held down even when nobody is touching it.

The main electronic control board: This is basically the brain of the dryer. It receives the signals from the UI and tells the dryer what to do. If the main board is starting to fail internally, it can misread a perfectly good signal from the UI and give you the same E68 stuck-button error.

I would check the UI and buttons first, since E68 specifically points toward a stuck-key condition. Make sure every button presses and releases normally and inspect the connections for anything loose, dirty, corroded, or damaged.

If the UI checks out and the E68 keeps coming back after the reset, then I would start suspecting the main electronic control board. That will help narrow it down instead of replacing both boards unnecessarily.
