Dryer repair

I had replaced all the heating element parts and the unit was working fine, for about two hours later the electrical cord was too close to the heating element and melted/burned. I replaced the electrical cord but it doesn’t start. Did something more traumatic happen ? Please advise…thanks, Bill

When you say “heating element parts” are you talking about
the gas glow bar ignitor?

No, the metal heating element with the 10 coils. When replaced it was working fine until the electrical cord melted and it stopped. When the cord was replaced it never came back on.

If this is an electric dryer could you double check
your model number? LG in the model number stands for gas.
