Our Roper dryer is 2 years old and worked perfectly until we just recently moved into our new house. It runs like normal and it heats up but its not getting as hot as it use to and it takes me running the dryer twice to get our clothes completely dry. It has been mentioned to my husband and I that it may easly be the high limit thermostat that needs to be replaced. I was also reading that it could be the vent out the back of the dryer. Looking for a pros opinion on what could be wrong before I pay someone or go buy the repair part to fix it.
Here are your parts

See the attachment for the wiring diagram
Unplug the unit and diconnect it from the vent system.
Now try a run.
If it now dries OK odds are the vent system needs checking/cleaning.
Be sure to check that the louvers on the outside of the house open correctly.
If you do not want any lint in the house.
Take a pair of pantyhose.
Put one leg into the other and then attach this to the druer’s vent.
Leave enogh room so the pantyhose can ballon out like a windsock.
Both the above will let you check the temperature and the air flow.
Note: The above is not recommended for gas dryers due to carbon monoxide concerns.
