Dryer Drum Isnt turning

you vetsI am jsut too excited over this repair. I really can’t believe that I did it…thanks to all of your help. I just threaded a loop of the belt through the hole of the idler and wrapped it around the wheel. The most difficult part was deciding to put the idler in before or afer the drum. I can tell you the feeling of accomplishment I have. To you vets of this I probably seem silly…thanks again…

Hello everyone,
My dryer’s belt is broken and I also noticed the “white plastic” part from the motor is also ruined and melted. I have look up in the part diagram but could not find.

Is is possible to buy this part alone from the motor?
Do I have to buy a whole new motor?

Thanks for your advices.

Sam,

Sorry for the delay. This “white plastic” part is the guard to prevent the belt from slipping onto the motor. Unfortunately it is not serviceable and if it’s in very bad condition then the whole motor has to be replaced.
