Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: WED5010LW0
Main Symptom: Dryer Seal
What happens & when: Always
My dryer seal has part of the seal missing on one corner. It is the top part of the seal that is torn off, but the bottom is still in tact. The rest of the seal is fine.
Questions:
- Is it safe to run when part of the door seal is damaged?
- Do you think that I’m losing a lot of heat and wasting energy? The cost for the seal and glue is over $100.00
- My dryer is 3 years old, and I was wondering if you think that I should replaced the seal, or just wait a few more years until it doesn’t run anymore and get a new one.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. - Is the inside of the door seal fiberglass? Just wondering if it is rubbing against close Etc.
