I replaced the water inlet valve, the float switch & float are working properly, I only have ~ 6 volts going to the water inlet valve. I can get water into the machine if I put 120 volts on the water inlet valve. Why do I not have enough juice when the machine is on? Does this mean I have a problem with the timer? or could there be a short somewhere else? The motor runs and if I bucket the water into the machine the water sprays as it should. Please help me, I need water!!!
Yes it looks like a timer problem.
You could trace the wires back to the timer from the valve/float switch combo and then measure across them at the timer. You should see the valve coil resistance.
If you do then the wiring to the valve is OK and I would replace the timer.
