The plastic door handle doesn’t latch, as if there was a spring mechanism missing. I unscrewed the front of the door and saw the plastic handle was broken in the part that connects with something on the inside of the door. Don’t know if I only need to purchase the part listed as “dishwasher door latch & handle assembly” Part # AP4264452, or if I need to also get the part listed as “door latch” Part # AP 4481280. The person in the order department couldn’t answer my question.
Were it me,
I would order both the part numbers you have, One is the handle itself and the other is the latch assembly complete.
Your problem could be in either or both components, and you wont know until you remove the control panel and have access to the latch assembly.
Most often it is a broken pin in the handle, but I have had situations where I needed both components.
You may want to play it safe and get and replace both parts.
