My whirlpool microwave has developed a discoloration between the outer door glass and the door frame. Item 2 and 7 on the parts drawing. I have beed able to remove inner door panes(choke cover) but I cannot figure out how to remove the door frame unit AP3892363 so that I can replace it. It is stuck in the door panel pretty good. Can anyone help.
The outer panel is attached to the metal choke by many plastic tabs much like the choke cover. I usually start at the middle top with my putty knife and press each tab as I work my way around the door. It takes some doing and you may even break a tab or two, but it won’t be a safety issue when it goes back together.
