Brand: Bosch Model Number: SHP865ZD5N/01 Main Symptom: Door not releasing automatically What happens & when: End of cycle when Auto Air option selected. End of cycle signal sounds but it sounds like it’s in distress & door doesn’t open.

Running dishwasher on regular cycle with Auto Air option on which has always released and opened door at the end of the wash cycle. That no longer happens. Door opens and closes manually without any issues. Trying to determine if the is an issue with the door latch mechanism or if this is a control panel problem.
Here are a few things you can try based on the symptom you’re seeing:
If the door won’t stay open, is hard to open, or closes on its own, the door spring tension may be incorrect. For fully integrated units, replace both door springs with stronger or weaker springs as needed. Be sure to replace the left and right springs at the same time.
If the door doesn’t open automatically, check whether the door is binding against the countertop. The dishwasher may be installed too high. Lower the dishwasher feet until the unit clears the countertop, then remount the mounting brackets. Also make sure the dishwasher is level side-to-side and front-to-back, and that the door and tub are square. After lowering the dishwasher, check the door latch sensor and Auto Door Open operation. Using the component test can save time.
If the door is not binding but still won’t open automatically, inspect the Auto Door Open module. Check the wire harness for loose or damaged connections and repair or reconnect as needed. Then verify the module output voltage is approximately 12.3–14.3 VDC. If the voltage is incorrect, replace the module. Again, the component test can help verify operation quickly.
If the Auto Air button is not responding, check that the Auto Door Open feature is enabled in the settings/coding and turn it on if necessary.
