There is an intermittent problem with this microwave. When you the close the door it will trip the circuit breaker in the service panel. It does not happen every time . Could this be the door switch? If so what part number do I need to order?
Hello,
The problem can be a bad door switch (interlock and/or monitor) as well as a bad switches mounting plate. Unplug the microwave and open the control panel. Check all switches for continuity with the door open and locked. Make sure all switches are properly engaged when the door is locked.
In case of any shortage in the microwave the inline fuse should blow. If it did not happen then probably the circuit breaker is too weak.
What is the end of the model number?

Hello Gene,
This trips the breaker when the door is opened. I gave you the wrong info in the first post. I replaced the ceramic internal fuse a coupe of years ago and it never happened again . Now it has this issue with the breaker tripping when the door is opened. Here is the full model number MH7140XFB-0 Serial xcj3550513
Thank you for your response.
Hi,
It does not make a difference. The test procedure is still the same. You have to determine winch part is bad before order any.
