the whirlpool duet washer’s dispenser is not working properly
We really need a lot more info to help. Is it the detergentn, bleach or fabric softener parts that are not working. And what exactly is the problem, not working properly can be a lot of things.
I would start by cleaning the thing out. It can get clogged. And check the dispenser mechanism, that breaks in a lot of these models.
yes we did try cleaning it out, but that doesn’t seem to be the problem. The problem is really that the washing machine turns on, but then when the cycle is chosen it does not do anything and a clicking sound can be heard. No water is released into the washer either.
With the top off see if 120v is getting to the valve assembly when it is supposed to be filling. If so, try changing out the valve assembly, if not the control unit may be the problem.
