The display goes off (no lights) and comes back on a couple of times before settling down and working properly?

After that continue working; just upper oven
Lower working fine
Jeff, you may have a display board that is getting hot and /or failing, Sometimes a solder connection will cause that issue.
Lets hope it is something in the control board and not the display control as the display control is no longer available.
