Dishwasher Won't Drain

I bought this last week. Followed the installation instructions.
I noticed during the cycle that I never heard the dishwasher drain into the garbage disposal. Lots of water left in the unit after the cycle competed. I have the drain hose in a high arc from the unit through the cabinet wall and into the garbage disposal. The entry into the garbage disposal is well above the drain trap as per the instructions. I suppose it’s possible that the hose kinked when I was pushing it back into the cabinet, but I doubt it.

Here is tghe tech sheet for this unit.

Did you remember to remove the knock out on the garbage disposal dishwasher hook-up?
You could disconnect it from the disposal and try draining it into a pail. Just be sure to hold the hose securely in the pail and puy a towel over it so it does not splash all over. This will eliminate a house plumbing problem as the cause.
Remove the kick plate and check the hose.
Check that the plug to the drain motor is still attached.

If the above all check out OK then you may want to place a call and get it repaired under warranty.

Run the diagnostics to see if the drain motor runs.
Disconnect the drain motor and check to see if it is getting power (120 volts AC) when it should.

Denman, thank you…that was the issue. It works fine now that it can actually drain into the disposal!
