My dishwasher is leaving the dishes with a film and particles stuck to the dishes. Have to end up hand washing most things. Is there something that has to be done as maintainance to prevent this?

You might also want to try running an empty load and put about a cup of white vinegar in to flush the system.

Model number is MDB6000AWA.
We ran the vinegar after we cleaned the filter and the spray arms about a month ago.
There is no water going through the spray arms but the unit does pump out completely.
