I hope you can give me some help. I purchased a whirlpool dishwasher DU11055XTVS for my conference center. The problem is that the run-time on the normal cycle is very very long. The person at the appliance store said that we are having very dirty dishes and the sensor senses that and adjusts the time.
Not true we have this proplem washing coffee mugs.
The manual says that the run-time can be up to 3 hrs.
Is there anyting we can do to make it run faster, or can anyone recommend a good dishwasher with a shorter run time.
Thanks
Cannot find info on this unit it is probably too new.
Am basing the following on DU1100XTPSB the tech sheet follows

Check that the water entering the dishwasher is a minimum of 120 degrees F.
Sounds like it is taking a long time heating up the water.
If there is a sink close by run the hot water and check the temperature there.
If the temperature is OK you may have to run the hot water before doing a wash to clear the cold water from the line. If this does reduce your cycle times then I would suggest you insulate the water line. This may not eliminate having to run the hot water between loads but it will keep the water hotter between the cycles.
Thanks for the info, now that you told me, I believe this could be the problem. We only have an under the sink hot water tank and I believe it is only 10 gals. We wash dishes and then turn on the dishwasher and I am sure the water is cold by then. do you think an on demand water heater could help?
Thanks again TC300
I would measure the temperature first and perhaps turn it up.
