Dishwasher leaking water right after replacing sump filter

Brand: GE
Model Number: PDW7880J10SS and Sno. VH832788B
Main Symptom: Water leaking while operating. Happened right after replacing sump filter and Lower rack roller kit
What happens & when:

I just received my order# 16827335 with new sump filter and lower rack roller kit. I replaced both looking at the videos step by step on the site and installed correctly as per me. However right after that I started dishwasher with an empty cycle first to clean and then with dishes in. Both the times it has leaked a lot of water out from the bottom of the dishwasher and continuing to do so. This wasn’t leaking previously. Previously the issue was just that the dishes were not getting cleaned properly.

Please suggest asap. Thanks.

Pull the filter back out and make sure that the seal around it is not damaged or crimped and that it is seated properly. Also check to make sure that it is clean around the seal area.

The filter and its seal are good. See pics. The surrounding area is fairly clean and parts in the same condition as before.

Hello @Ed_C_APP_Team any further suggestions?

Thanks.

It sounds like it may be leaking around the inlet sump and would need to check that. The filter should not cause it to leak from that area.

how could that happen after replacing the filter? Is inlet sump a different part?

Yes, the inlet sump is a different part than the filter.
