Hello,
I have a KUDM24SE Kitchenaid dishwasher and the handle seems to be broken. The door won’t open and the handle seems loose. From the parts diagrams it looks like there is a spring and a plastic piece inside that may be broken but I can’t open the door to take it apart.
Does anyone know how to open the door on this dishwasher when the latch isn’t working? Any other advice on fixing it?

You should be able to grasp the door up at the top corners, and pull out hard, or “snatch” it open.
Then dismantle the door liner and control panel to access the latch and handle assembly and check for broken parts.
